The Spring 2009 project on argument optionality includes several different phases:
- Researching the literature on argument optionality (pro-drop, argument expression, object drop, etc.). Here are notes on what I have found thus far.
- Outlining an HPSG analysis that accounts for the typological variation found in the literature.
- Implementing this analysis in the Grammar Matrix and Customization System. Here are notes on what will need to be added to the tdl files.
- Updating the Customization System website. Here is draft of what the Arugument Optionality page will look like.
